Klincher Kapscrews Overview

Klincher Kapscrews are self-locking cap screws that hold tighter, because their unique design creates a more even load distribution throughout the cap screw, permitting greater wrench torque to be applied before exceeding the elasticity of the cap screw. How the Klincher Kapscrew Works
Conventional cap screws and locking fasteners / devices create points of high stress, which when subjected to certain environmental conditions, will fatigue and eventually break. An uneven distribution of loads across a cap screw creates areas where the loads are heavier than the part was designed to carry, while other areas carry practically no loads. The Klincher Kapscrew uses a unique design that makes use of the elasticity in the cap screw by diffusing and distributing the loads more evenly throughout the holding areas of the cap screw and the head of the cap screw. This even load distributed design allows the Klincher Kapscrew to resist all ranges of vibrational stress, which greatly reduces the cause and risk of fatigue failure. Klincher Kapscrew are also potentially reusable, depending on the application.

Klincher Kapscrews are available in the following standard sizes and custom sizes can be produced as well.
- # 10, 1/4″, 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2″
- Maximum size is 1.25” diameter in either fine or coarse threads.
